Supreme Court now decides how much milk can be offered to Mahakaleshwar

Indian Supreme Court recently became butt of jokes on Internet because of its blanket and senseless ban on firework sale in Delhi. Now however the court took it upon itself to decide how much milk may be offered to Mahakaleshwar.

Team Sadhana is of opinion the whole purpose of a murti in a temple is to worship. Idols of our Gods are not and should not be treated as some antique that needs preservation even from its intended use.

कोर्ट ने उज्जैन के मशहूर महाकाल मंदिर में शिवलिंग के अभिषेक को लेकर बड़ा फैसला दिया है। कोर्ट ने कहा है कि शिवलिंग का जलाभिषेक आरओ के पानी से हो और इसके लिए सिर्फ आधा लीटर पानी इस्तेमाल किया जाए। कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद अब कोई भी श्रद्धालु सिर्फ आरओ के पानी से ही महाकाल का जलाभिषेक कर पाएगा और प्रति भक्त सिर्फ आधे लीटर पानी का ही इस्तेमाल हो सकेगा।

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने यह फैसला उस याचिका पर सुनाया है है जिसमें शिवलिंग पर लगातार पानी चढ़ने, भांग श्रृंगार (भांग चढ़ाना) और पंचामृत (दूध, दही, शहद, चीनी और घी) की वजह से शिवलिंग को नुकसान का हवाला देते हुए भक्तों के मंदिर के गर्भगृह में जाने और शिवलिंग को छूने पर रोक लगाने की मांग की गई थी।
